South African fans eager to witness world class action (FIVB)

Durban, South Africa, April 4, 2005 – South African Volleyball enthusiasts and the general public are waiting with baited breath for the 2006 Men’s World Championship first round tournament (Africa Pool B), which will be held in Durban, South Africa starting on Friday featuring the hosts, South Africa, Mauritius and Botswana.

With only the winner of the tournament proceeding through to the second round in Tunisia in July this year, fans can expect more scintillating, no holds barred World Championship action as the home side will be pulling out all the stops to emerge victorious.

South Africa’s internationally renowned Egyptian coach Hamid El Wassimy will use the final training camp in Durban (April 1 – 6) to fine tune preparations ahead of their crucial matches against Mauritius and Botswana.
