After the spectacular closing ceremony, Mr. Cristobal Marte, president of Norceca, praised the effort of the Organizing Committee and the Guatemalan Volleyball Federation and the support of the government through the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala.

“It is very important to stress the great conditions in which this tournament was played, the support personnel, the organization and the facilities,” Mr Marte said. “Guatemala has responded positively to the request from the FIVB President Dr. Ruben Acosta for this tournament to be successfully organized and show to the world that Central America also can do it, despite being one of the smallest regions in the world in terms of population.

“As president of Norceca I feel more than satisfied and appreciate the job done by the organizers.”
