Kenya rejoin Algeria at top of the table (FIVB)

Nairobi, Kenya, July 23, 2005 – A 3-0 (25-4, 25-11, 25-10) win over Eritrea was enough for Kenya to join Algeria at the top of the five-team table at the 2006 Women’s World Championship African first round tournament – Pool B in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday.

Saturday's other match saw Congo Brazaville collect their second win with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 27-25) win over DRC Congo to move into clear third place.

Kenya and Algeria now have three wins from three matches and will play each other on Sunday to decide the winner of the tournament and which team will advance to the final round as the third and final African ticket winner joining Egypt and Cameroon who have already won their respective first round tournaments.

Day five of the tournament sees Eritrea play DRC Congo at 11:00 GMT (14:00 local time) followed by Kenya's match Algeria at 13:00 GMT (16:00 local time). Congo Brazaville have the bye.
