Venezuela win Goulette title

Tokyo, July 5, 2006 -- Venezuela beat Tunisia 3-2 in the final of a four-team international tournament played in La Goulette, a suburb of Tunis.

Both teams have qualified for the men's World Championship in Japan, and were joined in the tournament by representatives from France and Italy, who were looking ahead to the 2007 European Championship.

In the round-robin stage, Tunisia beat Venezuela 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 32-30, 25-23), but the South Americans turned the tables in the final, winning 3-2 (21-25, 25-17, 16-25, 27-25, 15-13).

France finished third, ahead of Italy.
