Tokyo, August 14, 2006: Australia's men's team continued their preparations for the FIVB World Championships by beating Tunisia away for the first time in the first of a series of matches in the capital, Tunis.

The Aussies recovered from a slow start to win 3-1 (15-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-21), their superior serving and blocking bringing rewards.

Captain Ben Hardy led the scoring with 16 points and received strong support from David Ferguson with 11.

Australia will play in Pool B at the Worlds, against Brazil, Cuba, France, Germany and Greece, while African challengers Tunisia will meet Canada, Kazakhstan, Korea, Russia and Serbia and Montenegro in Pool D.
