Tokyo, September 27, 2006: The 2006 FIVB World Championships are ready for take-off!
Well, not quite, as there are still a few weeks left for the organizing committee to put the finishing touches to their preparations for the 48-team, 208-match volleyball festival.
In this case, the “take-off” theme applies to Japan’s two major international airports, Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai, and also to the capital’s domestic airport, Haneda.
From the middle of October, the arrival and departure halls will be decorated with banners and giant posters promoting the World Championships, which start on October 31 and run through to December 3.
Visitors to Japan will not be able to miss the eye-catching campaign, which will also include posters on the Information Counter at Kansai International Airport, commonly known as KIX.
