Tokyo, October 4, 2006: It’s going to be a Super Volleyball Sunday in Saitama on October 8.
As the countdown continues to the FIVB World Championships, six members of Japan’s national men’s team will take part in a major promotional event outside Saitama Super Arena
Japan will play their first-round Pool A matches at Saitama Super Arena from November 17-22, and Sunday’s event will increase the awareness of the forthcoming volleyball extravaganza for the city’s sports-loving residents.
Fans will have the chance to sign a “good luck” message on a giant Japanese flag, and can collect autographs and souvenirs ahead of the World Championships.
The six Japanese players attending are Masaji Ogino, Yu Koshikawa, Kota Yamamura, Nobuharu Saito, Shinya Chiba and Yuta Abe.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm, and the players will be there from 11am to 1pm. It has been organized by Saitama City as part of the Saitama Festival.
