Cairo, Egypt, October 19: Egypt will complete their preparations for the women’s World Championships with a training camp in Thailand from October 22-28. The camp will include six friendly matches against clubs and national teams.

Egypt will play with the final list of team members nominated last week by Cuban head coach Juan Martinez and his assistant Mamdouh Ismail. They are: Yosra Selem, Miral Abdel Kader (setters), Dina Yousef, Sherihan Abdel Fattah, Marwa Abdel Razak, Nada Nassif (attackers), Hagar Maged, Menna Allah Mohamed, Mona Badawy (middle blockers), Ingy El Shamy, Samar Ebeed (opposite) and Sara Ali (libero).

“We want to use this camp to prepare the new young players for the big competitions and to help them get more experience before the World Championships,” said Martinez.

“We are very optimistic that this new generation of players -- many of them are still under 18 years old -- can help the national team for many years ahead.”

The team will leave for Japan on October 28, and from October 31 will play in Pool D with Cuba, Italy, Peru, Serbia and Montenegro and Turkey, based in Nagoya.
