Tokyo, October 20, 2006: There will be glitz and glamour in abundance at a Press Conference at the Tokyo Prince Hotel Park Tower on October 26 - five days before the start of the 2006 FIVB World Championships.
Several members of the high-profile supporting cast for Japan’s women’s and men’s national teams will be there, as well as the players and head coaches.
The popular two-boy band WaT (Eiji Wentz and Teppei Koike), plus members from “Hello! Project” all-girl groups Morning Musume (Morning Girls) and Def. Diva, will be in attendance. Together with another Hello! Project act, Berryz Kobo (Workshop), the four bands have recorded the official World Championships theme song, “Ready Go!”
The two national squads will be accompanied by women’s team head coach Shoichi Yanagimoto and men’s head coach Tatsuya Ueta.
The Press Conference will start at 4.30pm on Thursday, and will be followed by an official send-off party for the Japan teams at 6.30pm.
